  • Job Description

    Our client, a company specializing in managing and operating the financial resources of its overseas offices while providing services such as IT outsourcing, digital marketing, customer support, and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), is seeking a Japanese-speaking Accounting Manager to lead their team.

    【 Responsibilities 】
    - Financial Accounting & Reporting: Manage full accounts (GL, AR, AP), reconcile bank accounts, prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), and analyze performance.
    - Taxation & Compliance: Handle GST/VAT filings and corporate tax submissions, and ensure adherence to local tax laws and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
    - Payroll & Budgeting: Process payroll, manage statutory payments, assist in budgeting/forecasting, and monitor cash flow to optimize working capital.
    - Global Pooling: Handle global AP and AR-related transactions. Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with internal financial policies.
    - Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop an accounting team, providing guidance and mentorship. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and controls.

Qualifications

    【 Requirements & Preferences 】

    (Must)
    - Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    - At least 5 years of experience managing a full set of accounts.
    - Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
    - Minimum 3 years of experience as an accounting/finance lead, overseeing accounting, auditing, and taxation in Singapore.
    - Proficient in the Japanese language (JLPT N3 and above) in speaking, writing, and listening is essential to liaise with Japanese-speaking stakeholders.
    - Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP B1, SAP S/4HANA, QuickBooks, Xero, or MYOB.
    - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas).
    - Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).

    (Advantageous)
    - Experience in managing global pooling operations.
    -Ability to handle regional financial reporting under IFRS.
    - Proven leadership experience in managing a finance team
