Job Description
Our client, a leading Japanese freight forwarding company is looking for Business Development Manager (Japanese Speaking) to join their team.【 What you will be doing 】- Creating development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections.- Meeting potential clients and sharing the market information proactively with existing customers and potential customers.- Implement effective sales actions according to the sales target drawn by the company.- Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking, and other channels.- Perform sales calls to new/potential customers who are raised on the target list.- Visit the customer site or conduct video conferences regularly to share the market update, and to do the QBR/MBR to maintain the existing customer.- Meet/Exceed the sales tasks, and complete the responsible tasks independently.- Maintain the existing customers, and establish the detailed customer files.- Propose the solution to overcome and obtain new business & share-up business in both Air, Ocean, and Cross border trucking.- Expand Singapore's export/import business both Air and Ocean. And also, sometimes to manage 3rd party business (offshore business) to secure and expand business if the business owner is a Singapore customer.- Communicate with our overseas offices to share each sales status and work closely with them to get closer to the business.- Manage the RFQ (Spot, Monthly, 3 months, Annual) with the RFQ team and complete the rate proposal for customers (both Air and Ocean business)- Report irregularities to a direct superior promptly.- Manage troubleshooting if something irregular happens. Investigate the route cause with the Air/Ocean operation team and propose the countermeasure which clarifies the details of 5W1H and discusses future correspondence with the customers.- Create the sales report by timeline every month.- Input the sales progress in the CRM system based on the specific days by timeline.- Be an AR controller according to the account period required by the company
