Job Description
Our client is a well-known Japanese construction company that specialises in contracting for building, civil engineering, and other construction projects. They are looking for a Business Development Executive (Japanese Speaking) who will be in charge of developing relationships with current and potential clients to generate new business leads.
You will be reporting directly to the Sales Manager.
【What you will be working on】
- Identify new market trends, as well as potential business opportunities, and prepare monthly reports for management. (The business opportunities are not limited to construction-related activities.)
- Initiate customer visits and processing of various sales proposals, quotations and contracts as well as meeting the KPIs by following company direction.
- Maintain the company’s database and prepare presentation materials for various stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while supporting the tender and business development team, project clients and consultants in their tender bids.
- Coordinate with the tender department and corporate HQ in the scope of work and project executions and respond to their requests, clarifications and resolving any issues promptly and diligently.
- Update and ensure the company’s website and marketing materials are up to date and organize marketing initiatives to increase customer engagement and awareness.
- Ensure procedures, products and services rendered are compiled with the company’s policies, government regulations and ISO standards.

<Must>
- Diploma or Degree in relevant discipline
- Possess B2B sales experience with diverse types of clientele and the ability to take action to acquire meetings.
- Familiar with the environment and surroundings in Singapore, notably in building and construction.
- Fluency in the Japanese language (minimum JLPT N2) in speaking, writing, and listening is essential because the majority of clients are Japanese natives and require a good relationship to understand their business needs.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software to create sales and reporting materials.
- Demonstrate an eagerness to work in the construction and building industry.
<Prefer>
- More than 5years of sales experience
- Be open to exploring new business opportunities and attending networking events.
- Worked in a similar industry (e.g., construction, interior design, architecture).
- The ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, as well as AutoCAD, will be advantageous.
