Our client is launching a new business and setting up a new factory in Singapore. They are currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join their team.In this role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery to ensure production targets and quality standards are met. Additionally, you will inspect products, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with engineers to enhance processes while ensuring safety and compliance with industry regulations.Shift work: 8-hour / 12-hour shifts【 Responsibilities 】- Collaborate with the equipment functional team to perform startup and shutdown of machinery for dedicated processes.- Lead daily handover briefings for the production team at the start and end of each shift.- Communicate daily production targets to the production team.- Set and adjust machinery operational settings to ensure optimal production performance.- Monitor machinery settings and tools during product changes, machinery restarts, etc.- Conduct routine inspections to ensure machinery and tool integrity.- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, chemicals, and machinery consumables on the shop floor.- Maintain accurate data entry/logging for shop floor activities, ensuring proper traceability.- Address abnormal issues reported by the production team during production runs and implement countermeasures (e.g., adjusting machinery settings, changing raw materials).- Inspect production output to ensure it meets quality standards and requirements.- Conduct root cause investigations for defective output.- Coordinate shop floor headcount to support alternative manufacturing areas, as needed.- Step in as an operator to support production runs when necessary.- Communicate quality, material, and machinery issues to the Manufacturing management team in a timely manner.- Perform routine machinery maintenance in collaboration with other equipment functional teams.- Participate in 5S activities and maintain cleanliness in dedicated work areas.- Engage in shop floor Quality and Continuous Improvement activities (e.g., Gemba walk), as applicable.- Participate in routine shop floor EH&S (Environmental, Health & Safety) activities.- Inspect PPE adequacy for the production team.- Provide regular safety training and briefings for the production team.- Take on a 1st level leadership role, supporting the production crew in resolving disputes and clarifying work tasks.- Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by the Manager to support team and organizational goals.
