Job Description
Our client, the APAC regional headquarters for a renowned manufacturer of consumer, solution, and industrial components, is seeking a Regional Tax Manager. This role is key to strengthening the tax practice for Group companies in Singapore and the APAC region, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and risk mitigation. Reporting to the General Manager, the position encompasses both Singapore-specific and regional tax responsibilities.
【Responsibilities】
1) Singapore Tax Matters
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns (direct and indirect) for the Singapore Group of companies.
- Address tax queries from the IRAS and internal stakeholders.
- Manage transfer pricing (TP) documentation and act as the key contact between TP consultants and the Group.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax provisioning and deferred tax computations.
- Renew the Major Exporter Scheme (MES) license before expiry.
- Standardize tax practices and ensure compliance across SG Group companies.
- Identify tax risks and propose improvements.
2) Regional Tax Matters
- Assess tax challenges faced by regional Group companies and suggest countermeasures.
- Monitor and adapt to tax changes in the APAC region.
- Provide tax support for business reorganizations, M&A, and risk reduction initiatives.
- Assist Group companies with tax audits and interact with local tax authorities and consultants.
- Address transfer pricing risks and recommend solutions.
- Monitor and optimize the region's effective tax rate and withholding tax expenses.
- Enhance tax awareness and governance across the APAC region.
- Collaborate with Japan HQ and regional tax managers to strengthen the APAC tax network.
- Support HQ with Master File, CbCR, Pillar 2 projects, and other tax initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with specific tax requirements in countries like India, Australia, and New Zealand.

(Must)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax compliance and planning.
- Fluency in English for effective communication with counterparts.
- Strong technical expertise in corporate taxes and transfer pricing regulations.
- Proven experience handling international tax issues, including cross-border taxes and transfer pricing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations.English Level
