• Job Description

  Our client, a Japanese importer of foodstuffs, supplies a variety of retailers and restaurants in Singapore. They are currently seeking a Junior Procurement Specialist to join their team, reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager.
  
  【Responsibilities】
  - Ensure the timely execution of forecasts and exception reports to suppliers, ensuring supplier delivery commitments align with sales requirements.
  - Expedite deliveries and resolve shortages to meet sales demand.
  - Manage and address quality/quantity notifications, supplier returns, goods receipts, and invoice discrepancies.
  - Maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize excess inventory holding.
  - Negotiate strategic pricing and contractual arrangements with suppliers.
  - Strengthen supplier relationships by continuously improving processes and contractual terms.
  - Oversee third-party warehouse process improvements and manage expiry goods.
  - Plan and execute stock replenishments through purchase orders.
  - Coordinate purchasing tasks and manage documents and information flow between suppliers to support operational needs.
  - Ensure compliance with importation regulations and food safety standards for all products.
  - Stay informed of government policies and regulations related to import/export and distribution compliance.
  - Manage and conduct product ingredient checks.
  - Collaborate closely with Headquarters in Japan for goods fulfilment.
  - Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the superior.
