Job Description
Our client, a leading IT company specializing in customized services including helpdesk and office support, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Data Center Manager.You need to handle the management of the Date center as well as helping the IT Infrastructure and security job scopes.【Responsibilities】1) Contract Management:- Manage yearly outsourcing reviews, including scope preparation and information gathering.- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and internal policies.- Conduct and manage independent or third-party reviews for data center hosting services.- Set and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for resolution times and overall performance.- Oversee internal and external audits, including evidence collection and findings closure.2) Budget Management:- Forecast and consolidate budget requirements for new financial years.- Monitor monthly expenses and analyze reports to justify cost changes.- Process invoices, track spending, and perform budget variance analysis.- Ensure data center expenses do not exceed the annual budget.3) Policy and Procedure Development:- Identify and implement new procedures related to data center operations.- Draft procedures for access requests, installation, and device management.- Develop a data center handbook for vendors and staff.- Provide training on data center rules and regulations.4) Human Resource Management:- Conduct yearly reviews of support structure, roles, and responsibilities.- Manage manpower, including contractors and secondees, with contract renewals and shift arrangements.5) Inventory Management:- Maintain detailed data center and rack layout diagrams.- Track data center assets, including servers, storage, network devices, and security equipment.- Manage space planning for cage and rack layouts.- Conduct yearly inventory reviews.6) Device Management:- Oversee asset tagging, daily inspections, and tool management.- Monitor operations to prevent mishandling and ensure device functionality.- Manage equipment registration, installation, and decommissioning.7) Backup Tape Management:- Handle daily management of backup tapes, including inventory and storage.8) Cabling Management:- Manage patch panel and power cabling installation, documentation, and maintenance.- Oversee network cabling management, including testing, repairs, and deployment.9) Security Management:- Control access card and rack key management, including logs and reviews.- Monitor security through CCTV recordings and access checks.10) Infra and Securities:Infrastructure job scopes in terms of Cloud, OS, DB, network etc. Security wise such as vulnerability, patch management, CyberArk etc.
