Job Description
Our Client is a Japanese mechanical and electrical engineering company. The Procurement Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing products, materials, and services necessary for the operations/projects of the organization. They work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure the organization gets the best quality products at competitive prices, delivered on time.
【Responsibilities】
-Take charge of projects assigned:
1. Requisition of resources for the projects such as labor, materials, equipment, and others.
2. Planning of timely delivery and reducing/minimise wastage of material/equipment/ resources
- Monitor the progress and performance of sub-contractors:
1. Perform project management to ensure that the project progresses according to schedule and to take the appropriate corrective action when deviations arise.
2. Liaise with customers, consultants, clerks-of-work, and statutory authorities on matters concerning the progress of work, acceptance of work, approval of plans, problems faced, and others.
- Liaise with the Purchasing Department on the delivery of items purchased for the project.
- Ensure proper handover of the project to the customer when it is completed.:
1. Be responsible for the administration of contracts, claims, disputes, variations and final accounts.
- Provide on-the-job training to new project staff.
- Assign and supervise subcontractors' work.
- Ensure safety practices are followed.
- Solve all work co-ordination or technical problems at the site.
- Carry out inspections of incoming materials and equipment for the projects at the work site.
- Conduct quality checks on work done by workers.
- Arrange for overtime work if necessary.
- Raise non-conformance product reports for non-conforming products.
- Conduct Project Planning.
.- Prepare and Control shop drawings.
- Prepare Material Requisition.
- To carry out and monitor stock control on materials at the site.
- Recommend and execute corrective methods for Non-Conformance Performance.
- Prepare a Quality Plan:
1. Ensure all site execution with valid approved drawing, Architect Instruction, Engineer Instruction, and Written Instruction from client/ main contractor representative.
2. Carried out assignments as detailed by the Senior Manager / Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager.

【 Requirements & Preferences 】
(Must)
- Certificate/Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Construction field-related
- More than 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management from Engineering/Construction/Electrical products-related
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills for supplier management such as the ability to evaluate suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Mandarin to liaise with English and Mandarin stakeholders
- Independent, hardworking, and work well under stress

- Stable experience in the Construction industry
- Experience working in Japanese companyEnglish Level
