  • Job Description

    Our client, a well-known Korean company operating duty-free shops overseas, including in Singapore, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team.

    【Responsibilities 】
    - Represent the company in dispute resolution and mediation proceedings
    - Manage litigation proceedings in collaboration with relevant attorneys, if necessary
    - Provide legal counsel to the company on legal, corporate, and regulatory matters
    - Handle contract and agreement management, including assisting with the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of contracts
    - Act as the organization’s Data Protection Officer (DPO), ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulatory frameworks
    - Take the lead in Legal matters and provide compliance support (including but not limited to investigations and audits), partnering with internal teams to resolve compliance and legal issues, and ensuring approvals to safeguard business interests
    - Assist the CEO by providing legal advice and support
    - Support and drive any other initiatives or projects related to compliance or legal matters

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    【 Requirement & Preferences 】

    (Must)
    - Diploma or Degree in Law
    - 3-5 years of legal experience or relevant background in the retail industry
    - Knowledge or exposure to corporate legal compliance and/or familiarity with Singapore Customs, HSA, SPF, or SFA compliance

    (Advantageous)
    - Experience or knowledge of investigation techniques
    - Meticulous, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven with strong planning and project management skills
    - Highly motivated individual who can work well both independently and as part of a team
