Singapore, a bustling hub of innovation and technology, is gearing up to fortify its cybersecurity workforce in the face of escalating Artificial Intelligence (AI) threats. With the proliferation of AI, the risk of hostile Artificial Intelligence models targeting systems in the country has surged, prompting Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information, Janil Puthucheary, to emphasise the need for a robust talent pipeline.

In an announcement by the Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information,  they disclosed a plan to allocate 10,000 training places over three years for individuals aspiring to acquire basic cybersecurity skills or embark on a career in the industry. The training will be conducted through the internationally recognized Certified in Cybersecurity course offered by the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2). This initiative aligns with ISC2's global effort to provide one million free entry-level certification courses and exams to newcomers in the field.
